We all hate to be spammed or receive unwanted emails that make claims that are unfounded or false. But we also need to get email addresses to blast email information about our products and services. So what is an affiliate marketer or multi-level marketer to do?
Here are three legitimate ways to get email addresses without being a spammer.
1. Don’t spam and put a legitimate sign-up box on your web site to give the customer the option to provide you their email address. Remember that for you to get them to fill out this sign-up box, you need to provide them something that is worth getting them to do this. Many marketers offer newsletters, articles or free test trials of their software. The key is getting the potential customers to trust you and start a sincere relationship.
2. Don’t spam and if you purchase lists or get email addresses through a 3rd party be sure they are legitimate. Be upfront with you potential customer and tell them you obtained their email address through what you believed to be a legitimate source. Many people buy email lists thinking that if you buy your lists the email addresses are legitimate and you have the right to email the potential customers. Although this is true for some industry lists the vast majority are obtained deceptively and the potential customer’s email address was obtained from a 3rd, 4th or 5th party. So, if you have any doubt, tell your contact this upfront.
3. Don’t spam and advertise your products and services in email newsletters. Email newsletters are easy to find templates for and you can make professional mailings using them. You can post the link on your website or negotiate with other owners of similar websites your newsletters if well written and compelling will be an excellent source of credible email addresses.
The point of this article obviously is to avoid spamming people. That only hurts everyone because it will turn-off potential customers and hurt their chance to create their own business internet money online opportunity.
